Strengthening sequencing capacities in Africa

AFROSCREEN is a French response programme against Covid-19 to strengthen surveillance of the evolution of variants in 11 African countries.

The sequencing platforms that have been set up have initially been used to monitor the evolution of SARS-CoV-2, and have subsequently been used to monitor other pathogens of interest: measles, dengue fever, mpox, etc.
