Several projects involving young researchers (Masters 2 and PhD co-tutors) on themes related to digital health in the global south. Two theses have recently been defended, one on the collection of individual data and the calculation of national health indicators for Gabon, and the other on health illiteracy and the use of AI and Voice technologies to curb it in Burkina Faso and Guinea, with access to two diseases (diabetes and malaria). A thesis is in progress on data quality within Burkina Faso’s national hospital information system, with a focus on interoperability and the collection of individual data. In conjunction with a French EPIC working on indoor environmental quality (IEQ) issues, we have just obtained funding to set up a project with partners in Vietnam, Senegal and Guinea on the link between IEQ and human health.
